Because regular wine bottles just aren't enough.... This month we are pouring a red and a sparkling to kick off this 3 day Magnum special!
2008 Caronne St. Gemme Haut-Medoc - Cabernet blend from the Bordeaux estate just south of Saint-Julien in the Haut-Medoc. Beautiful medium full color with forward and expressive fruit with blackcurrants and red fruit on the palate. Fresh and lingering finish with vanilla and oaky notes. Delicious, balanced and perfect with a charcuterie board!
NV Tselepos Amalia Brut - A Greek sparkling wine with light lemon-green color, delicate bubbles and aromas of citrus flowers, honey, brioche and rose accompanied by crispy acidity. Early harvest used to produce the base wine and after cooling, the grapes are pressed whole-clustered. The must is transferred into stainless-steel tanks where it is fermented in low temps. Traditional method “champenoise” is used by forcing a second fermentation in the bottle. The wine stays on its lees for 9-12 months before the disgorgement. Only 60,000 bottles per year!
