New year, new upgrades! Liberty Market, located at 230 N. Gilbert Rd., is expanding the customer experience in 2022. On Jan. 10, customers will notice part of the restaurant’s interior will be closed off as minor upgrades begin. Then, on Jan. 24 Liberty Market will temporarily close its doors through the end of February as the restaurant receives it full renovation.
“Since the onset of COVID, we’ve served our customers in a different fashion. We’ve determined a redesign and a new layout will ensure our guests have a better experience from start to finish,” says Joe Johnston, Co-Owner of Liberty Market. “While we’re doing these functional upgrades, we’re also taking the opportunity to give the entire restaurant a new look and feel that we hope will not only be more inviting visually, but physically. Rest assured, our cozy, comfortable family atmosphere that everyone loves will remain the same — but will be matched with added features to make each visit even more memorable.”
Liberty Market has partnered with House of Form for the renovation project. Functional upgrades to help increase the restaurant’s flow and efficiency include redesign of the kitchen and expo areas; revised seating layout with additional options including traditional tables, booths and party/community dining spaces to increase spaciousness and comfort; the addition of a waiting section (where guests can also relax and enjoy a beverage); a dedicated take-out area for to-go orders; and enhancement of the exterior for an improved patio dining experience. Design elements include an overhaul of the restaurant’s look and feel, pulling elements from its rich history and its current vibrancy into a cohesive space that feels comfortable and intimate while looking elegant and sophisticated.
During the short closure, Liberty Market will retain its full staff. Ownership has created a volunteer program where employees will be paid their regular wages for doing volunteer work in the community (such as helping out the Agritopia Farm).
At the end of February, Liberty Market will at first offer outdoor dining only; following shortly thereafter, the entire restaurant will open for complete services. A grand re-opening celebration is in the planning stages and more details will be revealed soon.
Upon re-opening, the restaurant will debut a new menu — featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner — that is more inclusive than ever, featuring some of its diners’ beloved favorites (like the Apricot Glazed Chicken) and new dishes. The menu is complemented by a comprehensive bar menu featuring specialty cocktails, beer and wine as well as an extensive array of espresso selections and “spirited” coffees.
