The MGD's
Soulful stylings served up as an electrifying experience that adds a
unique new flavor to the iconic Kansas City sound. It’s the MGDs, back
at Holy-Field for their sixth season. Influences include a variety sounds
from New Orleans, Memphis and other river towns, such as . . . Kansas City.

What began in 2008 as a co-op group of three long-time friends has evolved into a recording &
traveling act. The MGDs eleased their 4th album, Midtown, last year, featuring 10 new songs. 90.9
the Bridge, named MGDs a part of their Best of 2020 list, and a song from the album, Midtown was
included in the station’s Top 90 songs of the year. The MGDs have become regulars at Holy-Field,
drawing a crowd of cool urbanites. Come early.
