Tuman’s hosts a Founders Brewing Limited-Release Tapping Saturday, December 10. The event features 2022 KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with Mackinac fudge coffee, maple syrup and chocolate); 2021 KBS Hazelnut (bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with chocolate-hazelnut coffee); 2022 KBS (bourbon barrel-aged imperial coffee chocolate stout); and 2022 French Toast Bastard (bourbon barrel-aged Scotch ale with maple extract, cinnamon, and vanilla extract). Tapping at 11 a.m.; the beers are on offer until 3 a.m. (while supplies last). Food specials include $2 Breakfast Tacos (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) and additional to-be-announced weekend food specials are on offer after 4 p.m. Beers range from $7-$9 each and $16 flights are also available. There is no cover charge to attend. No reservations. Tuman’s is open from 11 a.m.-3 a.m. on Saturday, December 10. Additional information on the beers can be found below.
2022 KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge, Bourbon-Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Mackinac Fudge Coffee, Maple Syrup and Chocolate, 11% ABV.
Brewers amplified the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then added maple syrup and aged it in oak bourbon barrels. Intense chocolate notes rounded out with coffee, maple syrup, vanilla, and bourbon. Full bodied with moderate sweetness and low bitterness.
2021 KBS Hazelnut, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Chocolate-Hazelnut Coffee, 12% ABV.
The perfectly balanced and decadent drinking experience of KBS meets the classic taste of hazelnut. Taking this bourbon barrel-aged stout to a new level, KBS Hazelnut allows the existing premium coffee and chocolate notes to soar to new heights when accented by the nutty sweetness of hazelnut. Prominent notes of roasted coffee and hazelnuts. Balanced with chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon. Full bodied with moderate sweetness and low bitterness.

This big, bold imperial stout is brewed with premium chocolate and coffee then aged in bourbon barrels that introduce powerful notes of vanilla, cocoa, and charred oak. KBS is a luxuriant, full-bodied drinking experience that emanates sophistication while honoring the brewery’s craft beer roots. Aromas of roasted coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla, balanced with notes of oak and bourbon.
2022 French Toast Bastard, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale with Maple Extract, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Extract, 11.1% ABV.
Backwoods Bastard Scotch ale gets the full-fledged breakfast treatment. The malty and rich bourbon barrel-aged Scotch ale is introduced to smooth maple syrup, warm cinnamon, and sweet vanilla for an incredibly decadent brunch-inspired sipper. Familiar aromas of maple syrup, cinnamon, and breakfast cereal, with subtle vanilla and whiskey notes. Moderately sweet and bitter, with a warming finish.
