Come taste what the new generation brings as Austrian winemaker Josef Bauer’s son, Florian, presents the first set of the family’s wines where he serves as principal winemaker. We – and you – have been enjoying the no nonsense deliciously classic Wagram wines of Josef Bauer for years now. When I visited Joe in 2022, I was delighted to meet Florian as we tasted through the line-up. And excited to see how Florian is helping add a new level of clarity, precision and minerality to Joes already delicious Wagram Grüner Veltliner and Rieslings.

Joining Florian at the tasting table will be our good friend and Bauer importer, Klaus Wittauer. As Florian shares the story of Wagram, the family winery and each wine, you’ll be tasting:

As usual there’s no charge for our Producer Spotlight tastings held upstairs around the tasting table, but we do ask that you reserve one of the five 30 minute sessions from 5pm to 7:30pm so we can make sure everyone has plenty of time to enjoy and appreciate the wines. These are some of our favorite Austrian wines that are now rising even further. You’ll want to taste and know more!
