Join us on Wednesday, October 20th, in welcoming Steve Pride and Stuart Bryan of Pride Mountain Vineyards to our wine bar, for a flight of their current releases.
At an elevation of 2,100 feet along the Mayacamas Mountain Range, Pride Mountain Vineyards is the only winery we know of that has the Napa/Sonoma County line running right through the property. Thus, this one- of-a-kind winery offers wines with both Napa and Sonoma on their labels, as the fruit from their vineyard is literally sourced from the adjacent counties. The property dates back to 1872. Jim and Carolyn Pride bought it in 1990 intending to retire while continuing to farm and sell grapes. As fate would have it, the quality was so outstanding that the Prides decided to create their own wine.
Debbie met the Prides in the 90s and has been selling their wine ever since. Their Merlot was the darling of the winery, and it has still triumphed as the same, world-class wine more than 25 vintages later. Fans couldn’t get enough of their stunning Cabernet Franc at that time either—and that was when it wasn’t allocated— in the good old days. While their Cabernet Sauvignon has always reigned supreme, their Chardonnay has also stood the test of time longer than most as a striking, high-elevation, white wine.
Stuart has been a part of Pride Mountain Vineyards from the very beginning, when he launched its national distribution and winery direct wholesale business in California with the first vintage in 1991. He started his career as a sales manager for Chalone Vineyards and was also the first national sales manager for Shafer Vineyards.
Steve and Stuart always draw a great crowd and are excited to tell us anything we want to know about their delicious, wonderfully balanced, age-worthy wines from their gorgeous mountaintop estate that straddles both Napa and Sonoma County lines.
The featured flight wines will be served as one OR two-ounce pours and 5-ounce glasses.
The cost of the 2-ounce flight will be $32 per person
or $19 per prson for the 1-ounce flight
