Our two featured wines this week – Fontanavecchia Falanghina and Andrew Murray Syrah – are terrific, delicious, and sure to be wildly popular. Come taste them and we bet you’ll take some home. And while you’re here for those great values, slow down, close your eyes, take a sip, and marvel at the artistry of the Willamette Valley’s Kelley Fox:
In other words, it’s a pretty good tasting! Join us Friday from 3-7pm and Saturday from noon-4pm to try:
Kelley Fox Nerthus 2022 – Tiny production and wildly flavorful blend of Early Muscat, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Blanc, with just enough time on the skins for the PG to give a shimmering pale pink color. A Vinous 93 point wild ride of flavor and fun!
Fontanavecchia Falanghina Taberno del Sannio 2022 - The most popular Falanghina in the shop ever is wildly delicious and stony in 2022 with salty minerality to burn. Excellent value, too!
Andrew Murray Syrah Tous Les Jours 2020 – As Jeb Dunnuck says in his 93 point rave, this is “a smoking value.” More velvety and mouthfilling than in the past, this has the texture to thrill Napa Cab fans and the savory character Syrah lovers search for. Great value, too.
Kelley Fox Pinot Noir Maresh Vyd Liminal 2021 – This is $110 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and most of you won’t buy it. That’s cool – I’m still staggered we got a five case allocation. But you owe it to yourself to try it. The most singularly beautiful wine I’ve tasted in years.
Kelley Fox Vermouth 2020 – Easily the most expensive vermouth we’ve ever carried, but also the most astonishing on every dimension from who made it, to how it was made, and – especially – how it tastes. Breathtaking, especially sipped cool all by itself. Wowza.
As always you can mix/match your way to best six/12 bottle savings during the tasting and nibble on a treat from the cheese case, too. Make what’s shaping up to be a very lovely weekend even nicer by joining us.
