A Journey Through Wine

Local experts Dan Petroski, founder/winemaker at Massican Wines, and Bob Biale, founder of Robert Biale Vineyards will explain how Italy influenced wine making in the Napa Valley and discuss the links between varietals in the two regions. Attendees will also be able to explore this convergence of old and new worlds by tasting carefully curated pairs of Italian and locally grown wines incorporating the same varietals: Tocai Friulano, Ribolla, Greco, Falanghina, Fiano, Primitivo, and California’s one true red grape – Zinfandel. This is a great opportunity to learn about Italy’s connections to viniculture in Northern California and to experience the beauty of some wonderful wines! Delicious antipasto will also be served.
