Local Event
Join us for a preview dinner fundraiser on April 19th 6-9p. This exclusive event will take place on the eve of the "Curating AI" opening, set amidst the gallery's artworks. Guests will enjoy a first look at the upcoming show, engage with the curator and featured artists, and explore the show's themes. The evening promises lively art discussions with fellow enthusiasts, all while savoring a delightful family-style meal. The format includes a relaxed preview, brief insights from the director and curator, talks by select artists, and culminating in a communal meal and conversation centered around the show. The dinner is a $120 per person donation, contributing to the show's expenses and enriching our artistic community.
When artists work with AI's new generative tools, are they creators, curators or collaborators? While AI operates in the abstract digital field of information, this exhibit highlights artworks with physical materiality, often handmade, that utilize AI as a key element in the creative process. This juxtaposition of the intangible with the tangible opens the opportunity for viewers to reflect on the timely debates about training data, bias, ownership, and the transference of creativity between digital and physical realms.
