One of Philadelphia’s best-known singer-songwriters, Ben Arnold has played his soulful songs at World Café Live, The Kennedy Center and made numerous appearances on the West Coast and in Europe. His lyrics bring to mind early John Hiatt, Mose Allison and Lowell George. People say he sings a bit like Randy Newman or Joe Cocker, but beds a hook like Springsteen used to do in the '80s. His more recent songs explore strong otions while the music draws on blues, gospel, folk-rock and a few other genres in between. He has written and co-produced many of his own six-plus major label and independent releases as well as with other projects 4 Way Street, US Rails and Pistol For Ringo.
