Charles Heidsieck is a Champagne Grande Marque named after its founder, who set the company up in 1851, and who was one of the best known and most flamboyant characters of the Champagne industry in the 19th century. Charles Heidsieck is the original "Champagne Charlie", a nickname the Americans gave him after he popularized Champagne in the USA in the mid-19th century. He also invested in the underground Cathedral-like chalk cellars under Rheims, originally dug out by the Romans 2000 years ago and they are still used today to house all of the Charles Heidsieck Champagnes as they age.
The heritage and the continued focus at Charles Heidsieck Champagne is the ongoing pursuit of excellence, sparing no expense, and cutting no corners for quality. The driving force behind this strategy was the inspiring head of winemaking Didier Thibault, who is recognized as the leading light in terms of the development of today’s style, image, and quality of the brand.
Make plans to join us for a five-course menu created by Executive Chef Nick Wirth and experience effervescent pairings from Charles Heidsieck and tasting notes from Brand Ambassador Veronique LaMotte.
