Five really fun wines on the tasting table this weekend including a warming French red, huge value Napa Cabernet and our featured Trouillet Lebeau Macon-Solutre-Pouilly au Rompay 2022. Plus two Champagnes. Here’s the line-up:

Two Champagnes: Doug is just back from 3 days in Champagne and he’ll be showing off wines from some of the producers he visited. Quantities on all are pretty low, so we’ll decide which to pour as the weekend approaches and as the wines last. On Friday the tasting will include Perrine Fresne 1er Cru Sermieres Sarmate I Extra Brut. The debut release from Perrine Fresne is a must-try. Stunning.

Trouillet Lebeau Macon-Solutre-Pouilly au Rompay 2022 – One of our best-selling white Burgundies of 2023 is even better in this newly released 2022 edition. Both generous and sophisticated.

Alo Cotes Catalanes Jais Noir 2022 – A bold but not at all heavy 100% Carignan red from France’s deep south is just the ticket for warming you up during cooler weather and carrying out to a cookout as things turn warmer.

Voces Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2018 – A tiny production, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa red that’s gotten the time in bottle it needs to really shine. And the 50% off savings don’t hurt at all!
