California vs. France: A wine tasting comparison through the movies "Sideways" & "Bottle Shock"

This class will literally (and figuratively) pit the most popular grapes of California against those from France, just like in the movies! A tutorial about the hallmarks, labels, & styles of Napa and Sonoma side-by-side with an exploration of Burgundy and Bordeaux. A comparison of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet-Merlot Blends from each opponent will set up a great tasting contest, including a "BLIND" taste-off! We will finally find out what scandal & shock happened in the wine world in 1976!

Flavor comparisons will be made with a tasting of 8 white/red wines, with take-home literature to keep.
