Local Event
Join us on Wednesday February 8th for a special wine tasting event focused on Amarone, one of Italy's most prestigious red wines, and other Italian red wines made by appassimento process. Appassimento is the method of partially drying out the grapes, which are then slowly pressed, and slowly fermented, to make full bodied and concentrated red wines.
Amarone has earned its high price tag, as a great bottle requires everything from perfectly dried grapes, ideal fermentation temperatures, and precise oak aging.
During this event we will taste 9 wines by themselves and then with a variety of fine international cheeses, one appetizer and organic dark chocolate.
All wines will be served blind, and you can vote on your favorites!
