Morgan Twain Peterson literally grew up in the wine world watching his dad, Joel Peterson, founder of Ravenswood, craft wonderful Zinfandel. Thanks to his time at the feet of his Zinfandel Master father, Morgan has learned to appreciate the value of old vines and knows where to find some of the best preserved field blends in California. Morgan founded Bedrock Wine Co. in 2007 with the objective to “channel the fruit of ancient vines into powerful, elegant, and distinctly Californian wines.” It is fair to say he has achieved this objective many times over since then, having made quite a name for himself in the process. His production is seriously allocated, and we have been proud supporters of just about everything he has made since the beginning. Of all the great wines Morgan makes, his ‘Ode to Lulu’ Rosé has to be one of our favorites, especially since he does it in honor of Lucie ‘Lulu’ Tempier from the great Domaine Tempier in Bandol. Morgan had the pleasure and honor of working at the iconic Provençal estate, and the experience no doubt inspired him to achieve big things with his own label.
