We didn’t set out to make this weekend’s tasting all French; but who could resist Bubbles, Bordeaux, and Beaujolais? For this week’s line up:
Delmas Blanquette De Limoux Tradition Brut NV- Light and fresh on the palate with accents of toasted bread and nuts. A terrific party and toasting fizz!
Mézy Sauvignon Blanc Réserve de Primes 2022- No compelling story here but what is compelling is what is in your glass. Especially at $11.98 on sale, this wine is stupid good.
Grand Bos Graves Blanc 2020- The most common reason today for not drinking white Bordeaux is just not knowing what the heck it is. This lovely, no oak, example will fix that.
Jean Paul Brun Beaujolais Nouveau VV l'Ancien 2023- Don’t let the Nouveau scare you, this is a serious Beaujolais picked early from the regular aging program to enjoy now.
Grand Bos Graves Rouge 2019- Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc thrown in as well. This is probably the single best Bordeaux value in the shop right now.
We’ll have some treats from the cheese case out to enjoy with the wines and you’ll enjoy best six/12 bottle savings on a mix/match basis during both tastings. Come sip your way to springtime savings!
