Local Event
Cost: $225.00
On Monday, November 4th Meals on Wheels will host the 2nd Annual Cornucopia fundraiser which features top chefs from around the Hudson Valley preparing an intimate dinner party for their own table of 12 guests. Each table will have its own exclusive dining experience as they get to know the chef, hear his or her cooking tips, and taste a one of a kind meal prepared especially for them. The event will take place at Edgewood Country Club at 449 Rivervale Road in River Vale, New Jersey from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
Some of the unusual characteristics of this event include the fact that the chefs will be preparing and finishing their entrees in front of guests tableside; the need for guests to register early in order to choose the chef they wish to dine with; and the production of a keepsake cookbook/journal where many recipes from the chefs will be included. Several of the chefs this year are award winners, Chopped Champions, and others have been written up for their cuisine in national publications.
The participating restaurants include:
In addition, new this year, the students from the Rockland Community College Hospitality and Culinary Arts Institute, under the auspices of Chef and Department Chair Chris Spezial, will prepare and serve the appetizers during cocktail hour.
