Students undertake a detailed theoretical & practical study of the sparkling wines produced in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, USA, South America, South Africa, Australia, & New Zealand. After completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate:

- in-depth knowledge and understanding of the influence of grape growing, winemaking, maturation, wine law, and wine business on the style, quality, & price on the principal sparkling wines of the world

- ability to taste and evaluate sparkling wines accurately
