Tasting (walk around)     Weekly Event     Wine     Valentine's Day

It’s a holiday weekend, with Valentines Day starting us off! Whether you’re looking for wines that are pretty in pink or speak of “Amore Assoluto” (absolute love) or just some great bottles to enjoy with family and friends, we’ve got you covered.  Join us both days to sample:

Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Rosé 2018 – We’re always telling you that the rosés arriving each spring will be even better the next summer, and this cracklingly delicious 2018 Carignan/Syrah blend proves us right!  And, from $7.98, it’s your last chance to enjoy it before the tariffs push the price of the 2019 up a couple of bucks.

Antiche Terre Venete Amore Assoluto Biologico 2016 – From a top Amarone producer and named in honor of Verona’s most famous lovebirds, Romeo and Juliet, this is richly textured, nicely vibrant and crazy cheap from $8.98.  A James Suckling 92 point blend of Amarone’s best grape – Corvina – plus Merlot and Syrah, it will warm your heart without picking your pocket.

Three Beaujolais from Richard Rottiers – With his sister, Amandine, Richard is the co-owner of our favorite Chablis estate, Dom des Malandes. Before he came home to take over from his retiring mother, he launched his own estate making organically grown Beaujolais in Moulin-a-Vent.  This is the first time these wines have been in the area and Richard made it possible for us to launch them at pre-tariff prices.  You’ll taste:

  • Richard Rottiers Beaujolais Villages La Sambinerie 2018 (WA 91 points)
  • Richard Rottiers Moulin-a-Vent 2018 (WA 93 points)
  • Richard Rottiers Moulin-a-Vent Mortperay 2018 (WA 94 points)

The wines are exceptional in both quality and value.  Not to be missed!

As always, we’ll have treats from the cheese case out to sample with the wines and best, case price, savings available when you mix/match your way to a dozen bottles or more of any/all during the tasting.  Come feel the love – or at least warm up a bit – and join us!
