Live Music with Frank & Luke Baker
Frank and Luke Baker, father/son duo, current members of the local favorite Borderline band, performing original songs and covers, including songs by Waylon, CCR, Chris Stapleton, Hank Jr. and more from the Outlaw Country and Classic Rock genres. The two bring a lifetime of family harmony and guitar picking to audiences large and small.
Frank Baker has been making music since the late 70’s, when he started his first band with fellow classmates at West Holmes High School. Then in the 80’s, he founded local favorite Borderline, flirted with Nashville, wrote and recorded some music but ultimately decided his two boys, Luke and Mitch, were more important than potentially spending years unnoticed as an Opryland singer. As soon as the next generation could walk, Frank was teaching them how to play and sing.
Luke Baker, after learning the chops from his dad, went on to join his brother Mitch in the local band the St. Jimmies, playing classic rock and country mixed with 90’s alternative for an eclectic mix of covers and originals. When Frank was putting together a new Borderline lineup for a string of shows in 2014, there was no question that Luke would play a vital role, which continues to this day.
