Ah, Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot; the spine and flesh of Bordeaux, favored fruit of Napa Valley, best friend of Rare Beef. Yummy.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the grape that put Napa on the international wine map long ago when a bottle of Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon beat many higher priced Bordeaux in a blind tasting by French judges. The French were embarrassed, we were thrilled. We’ll taste some excellent examples.
And for those fans of the movie Sideways who still poo-poo the noble grape Merlot, come try these gems.
Price is $40. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
