A unique blend of German and Southern cuisine will be featured at the recently opened Funkenhausen, reflecting the Germanic heritage of Chef Mark Steuer who also began his culinary career in South Carolina's Low Country. Willkommen (welcome) to their charming restaurant! This welcoming brasserie will feature the lusty foods of Deutschland, such as garlicky pretzels in tandem with hearty smoked ribs and other Southern accents. Chef Mark's career has ranged from the South to many Chicago facilities. His new restaurant reflects this passage. Both wines and beers served with the dinner also reflect his Teutonic ancestry.
