Tasting Table Theme: Deliciousness!
No real theme to this week’s Free Tastings, other than five wines we think are delicious values that we’d love to have you try, too. Join us from 3-7pm on Friday and noon-4pm on Saturday to sample:
R Dumont Solera Reserve Brut NV - Because we want to drink good Champagne this weekend and not spend too much money. From a solera started in 1991, this blend of Chardonnay from 25 vintages is layered, complex, and complete, all for less than $40.
Feuillat Juillot Montagny 1er Les Coeres 2017 - A classy white Burgundy with captivating notes of pear, peach, apricot, crushed mint, hazelnut and tangy butter plus a luxurious texture and mineral-driven finish. A gem!
Bodegas Enrique Mendoza La Tremenda Monastrell 2014 - This weekend's Carryout Case Special! Bold, robust, and full of flavor, this Wine Advocate 92 point powerhouse is the perfect warming red for the kind of cookouts and richer foods you’ll be enjoying as the weather cools. From $8.98, a back-up-the-car “buy”!
Ch Thivin Cote de Brouilly 2018 - A gloriously delicious, even gulpable, Cru Beaujolais that’s already showing its Wine Advocate 93 points pedigree - but will be even better next year. Grab enough to try now and savor for years!
Laureano Gomez Malbec Mendoza 2018 - One of the more exciting Mendoza Malbecs we've tasted recently, this comes from dry-farmed, certified organic, fruit in Mendoza's Uco Valley and a winemaker trained at Trapiche. As Vinous noted in the 90 point review, it's lush and smooth but also appetizing and fresh.
As always, we’ll have some treats from the cheese case out to sample with the wines and best savings prices available on mix/match basis during the tasting. Join us!
