Nana, the family-owned eatery with Latin roots opened on August 24, 2009, pioneering seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. The Solis family celebrates the 10-year mark by featuring favorites from past menus. Look for specials such Nana’s Fried Chicken Sandwich with Slagel Family Farm fried chicken, Cheddar cheese, cilantro-lime coleslaw and spicy aioli ($15); a Sonora Skillet with Mexican-style chorizo, seasonal vegetables, hash browns, two Slagel Family Farm eggs any-style and housemade salsa verde ($13); and a Peach Whiskey Sour with Old Overholt rye whiskey, housemade peach jam, peach elixir, fresh lemon juice, Pavan orange blossom liqueur, fresh basil and whole rum-soaked cherries ($10). Nana is open from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. August 23 and from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. August 24-25.
