21 Top Cabernet tasted blind and revealed - fun, fast, festive - about as much fun as you can have tasting wine. This is not your grocery store wine tasting - this tasting is stacked with great producers of merit.Taste $2000 worth of Cabernet blind and enjoy the competitive spirit - you need not know anything about wine to have a great time.
A petite cheese plate is served with this presentation. All guests are seated and event is hosted by Ian Blackburn, CSW and Professional Wine Educator.
Lets begin...We will start our challenge with a look at the fast improvements and changes inside the world of Sauvignon Blanc... sure the pure crisp low cost category is still viable and perhaps what you will expect; whoever with the rising prices of Cabernet, there is a pursuit for price and quality parity... and that style is EXOTIC - CONCENTRATED - and PUNCTUATED. See how the different sights stack up and compete in this fast and fun blind tasting moment.... no knowledge of wine is required but even the most savvy will appreciate our high quality approach.
Then we move on to the big boys and girls: THE REDS. A great selection of top productions from around the world. All wines are tasted blind and we discover what we like, what we don't and see how Napa Vallley is competing with the world. My stance has been that Napa Valley is making some of the greatest wines in the world... but you will pay for them. Perhaps its also safe to say - that Napa isn't connected to value any longer... and that we can all find tremendous value in spots OTHER than Napa Valley - even SONOMA - LAKE COUNTY - South Africa - PASO - and Carmel Valley... this will be a fun and exciting tasting served in top quality glassware.
