For some of you this is a favorite announcement each year: Our Annual Pre-Release, Member's Party. For the uninitiated, it is that one day out of the year Jeff, Susan, Matt, Sierra and Dave, family members, and I show up at the winery and open up ALL the wines we have just bottled and plan to release the following year. It is our Insider's Guide to our future. There is always excellent farm fresh foods. It is just an all-out fun day. Oh yes, and it does sell out quickly every year.

The vintage for the single vineyard Cabernets and Bordeaux blends is 2017. There are many back stories on the vintage, but as we go through the wines we feel they are exceptional. Most rival the 2016s, and we think all are as good or better than the 2015. If you can't come to the tasting, I hope all of you have a chance to taste some of these wines. A year from now, I predict many of these wines will be in several critics top ten wines of the vintage. I hope you hold me to it.
I think Antonio Galloni foreshadowed the vintage nicely early on in Vinous.

The Chardonnays we show will also be the 2017 Durell, and barrel samples of the prestigious 2018s. Insiders know that we treat all our Chardonnays as reserves. We don't make much Chardonnay, but what we do is from top blocks in Hyde, Durell, and Beresini. We are ranked in the top three Chardonnay producers of the year in the recent Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, and have been consistently in Wine Spectator's Top 10 and other publications since 2002. People know us more for our Cabernets, but those who enjoy and seek out the best and hard to find Chardonnays in the New and Old World, know us well.
It is going to be a great line up, and you'll have the TOR team to entertain you. Fun, fun, fun.
