Celler Viniric Vella Lola Negre 2017 - A classy, satisfying - even exciting! - Garnacha-based red with 15% Syrah and 5% Cabernet from the sunny hills of Emporda in northeastern Catalonia. Outstanding complexity, for sure, but mainly fun and a fantastic cookout companion.

A Special Spritz Tasting!
Sprezza Vero Spritz Italiano Rosso and
Sprezza Vero Spritz Italiano Bianco
The New York Times pretty much broke the Internet a couple of weeks ago with an article entitled, "The Aperol Spritz Is Not a Good Drink." We'll opt out of that debate, in large part because Sprezza Vero Spritz Italiano has become our summer spritz of choice this year - no mixing required, just open the 250ml can!
It's a blend of sparkling water, high-end bitters, and super complex white (Bianco) or red (Rosso) vermouth. Fill a big wine glass with ice, pour your choice of Sprezza, and garnish with a wheel of orange, lemon or lime and then take a sip - you'll be instantly transported to a chic seaside cafe on the Italian Riviera! At just 5.4% alcohol and a wonderfully bracing tart finish, Sprezza is the perfect way to wrap up the day and get ready for your evening. Try them - we think you'll agree!
