Franciacorta Festival 2019 New York - Tasting Come join this unique tasting of Italy's finest sparkling wine FRANCIACORTA at the second Franciacorta Festival in NYC.Since early 1960, passionate Italian winemakers quietly started crafting this delicious sparkling wine, in the Franciacorta wine region. The vineyards are located just south of Lake Iseo, one of the smaller and lesser known of Italy's northern lakes. Thanks to the moderating influence of this lake, along with the protection offered by the surrounding hills, the grapes grown here, with their crisp and lively acidity are ideally suited to the production of premium sparkling wine. The focus on quality means that the wines all undergo an extended resting period to allow the finest of bubbles to form. These are elegant and beautiful wines that every wine lover should know about.
