We think you should join 23,000+ of your neighbors in supporting the Potomac Conservancy's 25 year mission of ensuring the Potomac River boasts clean drinking water, healthy lands, and vibrant communities. And we're not above bribing you to do it!
On Sunday, June 9, join us and representatives of the Potomac Conservancy, the region's leading clean water advocate, to learn how you can help and taste 8 terrific wines from winegrowers who care as much about the environment as we do!
From 2-4pm, we'll pour 8 exciting wines from Oregon's Willamette Valley, Burgundy, Tuscany, Austria, Spain, Washington and more, all grown and made by growers dedicated to organic, biodynamic, and watershed-safe farming and production. We'll explain the dizzying array of terms and certifications - like the difference between Ecocert, Demeter, and USDA Organic! - and show you how to shop for wines grown and made in environmentally friendly ways.
During the tasting representatives of The Potomac Conservancy will be on hand to explain their mission, programs and show you how you can help. And Chain Bridge Cellars will donate 15% of all purchases made on June 9 - with a minimum of $1,000 - to support The Potomac Conservancy.
We'll update this site with a list of the wines to be poured around May 15. Let us know if you'll be joining us June 9 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with Potomac Conservancy in the subject line!
