Domestic Red Blends Tasting
Wednesday, April 24th
Trapp Family Wine Cellar
Blended Red Wines are becoming more and more popular here in the United States. Many of the traditional wine producing regions of Europe have long blended several different grapes to produce a single wine. In fact, it’s we Americans who started the practice of referring to wines by the name of the grape such as Cabernet Sauvignon, as opposed to the European practice of referring to them by the region where they are grown such as Bordeaux.
We’ll be tasting blends from California, Washington, Oregon and, new for me, Idaho.
Ted Lange from 802 Distributors will be here to discuss the wines.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
