In 2018 Italy was the number one wine producer in the world, and the world’s number two wine exporter. Italian wines are known for their bold flavors and textures, their ‘sense of place’, and their propensity to pair well with regional foods. In our March class we’ll taste some classic examples of Italian wines. We’ll talk about the impact of geography and tradition on Italian wine production so you’ll better understand what you’re tasting. We’ll sample and compare different Italian wine styles and discuss how they may be paired with food. This is the second in our regional wine tasting classes so come join the fun!
