France – the home of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne – is arguably the world's most important wine-producing country. For centuries, it has produced wine in greater quantity – and of reportedly greater quality – than any other nation. Join us as we sample a few fabulous finds, this Saturday from 12-3 pm.
Wines:
1.Domaine de Tour Boisse Blanc 2014 $12.99
Spring flowers and tropical fruits on the nose and palate Blending it is done in the vineyards…ask about the grape varieties that are cultivated!
2.Pascal Bouchard Aligote 2015 $17.99- The Wildcard
For an Aligoté, this is a soft wine without that crisp acidity. It is smooth, lightly tangy and with an easy spicy character. It is ready to drink, fruity and bright.
3.Domaine des Elettes Saumur Champigny 2013 $15.99- Silvia’s Favorite!
Domaine des Elettes is a 4 generations family business. Jean-Jacques Derouard started working there with his father in 1989, when there were only 9 hectares of vines. Complex aromas or red fruits, flowers and spices.
