Educational     Tasting (sit down)     Wine

The first of several evenings focussing on New World regions, probably the most important to thing to point out is that these regions aren’t really new at all, with hundreds of years of wine making experience behind them. In fact, Australia is home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world. We will try this alongside a range of whites, sample some of the ubiquitous New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a wine style that is currently unstoppable in it’s growing popularity in the UK.

These are both regions that can attribute at least some of their popularity to the simplicity of the labelling and marketing that made then famous. But they still have much to offer in terms of diversity, complexity, unique styles and quality levels which continue to improve.
