I did this tasting recently, but I love a good Riesling on Turkey Day so I’m presenting them again.
Arguably the most spectacular of all white wine grapes Riesling is not very well known in the U.S.A. My wife for one categorically dismisses sweet wines, a vestigial response I’m afraid to the old white zinfandel mania in our fair country. Rieslings are sometimes dry though most of the time they have some sweetness which in the good examples is balanced by a crisp acidity. We will taste both dry and sweet examples.
We’ll be tasting Rieslings from Austria, France, Germany and the USA.
