The Wine & Spirits Education Trust's Level 1 Course in wine is ideal for passionate wine lovers and for those looking to advance their career in wine or hospitality. We will cover the main types and styles of wine available and how to serve and store wine. An extensive food and wine pairing lab will demonstrate why some wines go better with certain foods than others. There will be a 30-question multiple-choice exam at the end of the second day, after which the class will enjoy a Champagne toast. Those successful at the exam will earn the prestigious WSET Level 1 Award in Wine. The course will be taught by Master of Wine Jean K Reilly, one of just 40 Masters of Wine in the United States. This is a 2-day course on consecutive Saturdays rom 10 AM to 2:30 PM.
