Taste whiskey, listen to the gents who made it and ask questions of the people who know a thing or two about distilling.

Lew will be signing copies of his best selling book, "Tasting Whiskey" at the end of the discussion.

Whiskey cocktails featuring both Colkegan Single Malt & J. Rieger Kansas City whiskey will be available for purchase from the store's bar team.

Lew Bryson was the managing editor for Malt Advocate Magazine from 1996-2015. Since then, Lew has been as regular writer for The Daily Beast, All About Beer magazine, Whiskey Wash, Scotchwhisky.com, Whisky magazine & The Full Pint. In 2014, Mr. Bryson wrote his best selling book "Tasting Whiskey" (Storey Publishing, 2014)

Colin Keegan, a native of England, found himself moving to New Mexico with his family. He has always appreciated good Scotch and Brandy, so when the economy took a turn in 2009 he closed down his architectural business in order to concentrate on building a distillery where he could produce his own style of these traditional spirits. For Colin, the birth of Santa Fe Spirits in 2010 was the dream of a lifetime. The distillery now produces a variety of brandies, but the cornerstone spirit is the ColKegan Single Malt Whiskey.

Ryan Maybee, a Kansas City bartender who opened his bar Manifesto in the basement of the Rieger Hotel building, teamed up with Andy Rieger to re-open the family's iconic distillery and recreate the Kansas City Whiskey, a blend of Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Light Corn Whiskey, and Straight Rye Whiskey, all aged at least 4 years.

This event is a 21yr & over event. You must have a valid photo state or federal I.D.

Please drink your independently owned spirits responsibly.
