Join us as we continue our Summer of Champagne series every Saturday this Summer with the Champagnes of Ployez-Jacquemart and Todd Hess of H2Vino.
Ployez-Jacquemart was created in 1930 by Marcel Ployez and his wife Yvonne Jacquemart. Their Champagne vineyards are planted mostly to Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. A small amount of Chardonnay is brought in annually via their contacts with Grand Cru holdings of Chardonnay which helps them 'improve our assemblage" and ensure consistency.
They style produced at Ployez-Jacquemart is one of freshness, complex aromatics with a clean, transparent palate. They typical dosage runs between 3-4g/L.
We will be tasting the following Champagnes from Ployez-Jacquemart:
- Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Quality Brut NV
- Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Quality Brut Blanc de Blancs NV
- Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Brut Rose NV
- Plyez-Jacquemart "Cuvee Liesse d'Harbonville" Brut 1999
