2015 is an exciting vintage in the Rhone Valley - offering oodles of delicious, with quite a bit of "wow!"  It's a vintage you should know - even if classy and delicious are not your thing - even if you prefer the latest trending blue or orange wine - even if your wine guru told you the Rhone was "so yesterday".

It's time to wake up and smell the Syrah!!

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 11th -  Victor Boyer and Regis Weltzer are going to wake you up the the thrill of Syrah (as well as the unique white Rhone varietals) - as produced by one of our long time favorite family estates - Domaine du Colombier.  YOU WILL LOVE THEM!

Here's the lineup, with my recent tasting notes -

2015 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge
Enticing aromatics, then a mouthful of ripe blackberries and raspberries, coupled with notes of cassis, minerality, chocolate and purple flowers.  Juicy, rich and delicious!

2015 Crozes-Hermitage Cuvee Gaby
Packed for pleasure, Gaby is richer and more complex with a touch of luscious.
Here, the flavors suggest a melange of black cherries, blackberries and blue fruits,
with raspberries emerging, notes of spice and wild flowers - delectable depth,
nuance and length.  Oh wow - this is fabulous!

2015 Crozes-Hermitage Blanc
This is a treat.  Ripe, supple and lively, coupling ripe peaches, tangerines and almonds,
with streaming minerality, floral accents and a hint of honey.  Yum!
