Tuscan Reds Tasting
Saturday, November 18th
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
Tuscany produces the third highest volume of DOC & DOCG quality wines in Italy after Piedmont & Veneto.
Their mainstay is the Sangiovese grape (which literally translates as the blood of Jove).
Sangiovese is the base grape in all the wines we’ll be tasting.
Strict rules on which grapes could be used in Tuscan red wines were challenged by innovative wine makers in the 1970s introducing non-traditional styles. We’ll try both traditional and non-traditional Tuscan Reds.
Price is $30. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
