Portland Indie Wine Festival

Annual Portland Indie Wine Festival to be
Held for 2-days in May, in Downtown’s Pearl District
Oregon’s Best Self-Distributed Wines and Great Food
Combine to Make a Perfect Tasting Weekend

What: The Portland Indie Wine Festival is an annual event celebrating independent Oregon wine producers and their labors of love. The two-day festival in Portland’s downtown Pearl District puts wine lovers up close and personal with Oregon’s best boutique wineries – all pre-selected by a tasting panel of nationally recognized wine experts.

Festival: The festival is created by an all-volunteer group of Portland, Oregon food and wine professionals who are dedicated to helping expose new winemaking talent to an appreciative audience. Attendees sip wine and sample dishes from top Oregon restaurants while strolling between two unique venues: the Chown Garage and Urban Wineworks, both on the block of NW 16th and Flanders. This is a once a year opportunity to snatch up some of Oregon’s best independent wines, as most of the featured winemakers do not have tasting rooms or dedicated retail space. A complete list of organizations, volunteers and sponsors can be found at

When: Saturday and Sunday, the first weekend in May. The festival will start at 3:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM both days.

Where: The festival will be held between Urban Wineworks and Chown Garage – NW 16th & 17th between NW Flanders and Everett, with street parking available.

Tickets: Tickets go on sale March 1st and can be purchased online at or at Urban Wineworks, located 407 NW 16th Avenue Portland, OR 97209. One-day tickets are $60 and two-day tickets are $100. A ticket includes tasting wines from 20 different wineries (20 each day), a selection of small plates from Portland’s top restaurants and chefs, a commemorative tasting glass and a printed passport to collect notes and winery information.
