A JOURNEY THROUGH VENETIAN VILLAS, PALACES & PALLADIAN MASTERPIECES ALONG FOOD & WINE ROUTES

Veneto, the land of Venice, is the ultimate destination for food and wine lovers seeking stunning architecture and incredible history. Surrounded by breathtaking lush vineyards, Palladian villas and manors, Cistercian Abbeys, picturesque watermills, medieval towns, and flower-covered pastures at the foot of the Alps. 

This 9-day itinerary includes visits to some of Italy’s loveliest towns, from Asolo to Verona, Padua (Giotto’s masterpiece Scrovigni Chapel), and Treviso, as well as charming villages like Bassano del Grappa and small hamlets. 

From the lovely town of Asolo, a medieval walled hamlet with a magical atmosphere, we begin our exploration of the surrounding wine regions. Visit Breganze appellation at the foothills of the Asiago plateau, where single vineyard varietals have achieved significant recognition.

In Bassano del Grappa, on the Brenta River, stroll the famous Alpini Bridge, shop for ceramic works, and see a historic Grappa distillery. Travel the route of the Templar Knights, where we visit an award-winning family-run wineryproducing the unique Malanotte del Piave (Raboso).Along the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Route, we see some of the best wineries and taste exceptional cru Cartizze. An expert will also guide through beautiful Villa Barbaro di Maser, a masterpiece by Antonio Palladio. 

We move west to Italy’s largest lake, picturesque Lake Garda where a Mediterranean climate abounds and olive groves produce some of the best delicate olive oils. Enjoy a scenic boat tour to see the medieval villages surrounding the lake. 

From our hotel on Lake Garda, we tour the lovely city of Romeo & Juliette, Verona. The wine regions visited include Valpolicella - Amarone, Lugana and Custoza, to discover unique and stunning wines. 

  

Among the delightful experiences on this tour, enjoy an entertaining hands-on cooking lesson and a cheese experience at an artisan producer. In Valeggio Sul Mincio, enjoy a tasting of Tortelli with the seasonal fillings that will surprise you.
