Extra virgin olive oil is one of the pillars of the Italian cuisine and Mediterranean diet even more in Abruzzo, where olive picking is a timeless tradition where magnificent, centuries old olive trees, grow abundantly, from the Adriatic’s coast up to the Apennines. Join us for a truly unique and special experience – you will see and discover Abruzzo, not only the green heart of Italy with its 3 national parks, but one of the very few regions still untouched by mass tourism.

Olive picking starts in the second half of September depending on the year. The day start with a delicious breakfast with the family and the other olive pickers followed by a short walk to the olive orchards. After the nets are laid out, the olive picking starts – The process of picking olives is carried out at a laid back pace. You can choose how long you want to pick the olives for.

Our long week end in Abruzzo will also involve a visit to a winery where we will be tasting the local wines and have lunch together with the producers and a visit to a producers of local delicacies such as Ventricina and arrosticini.

If you feel like relaxing, there are plenty of attractions nearby worth visiting, from the local, sandy beaches to the Abruzzo national parks with bears and wolfs. It is your week end, it will revolve around you.

At the end of your stay, you will be given a tin of your own extra virgin olive oil to take home and share with your friends and family.

Adds on such as pasta making classes, traditional dessert making and yoga are also available.

The price per person includes:
