Join Advanced Sommelier Greg B. Carlstrom for an introduction to amazingly affordable and delicious wines that don't break the bank! Whether you have never had wine in your life or you’re a major collector, there is something for everyone in this introductory wine experience. We will discuss the basics of tasting wine, the many styles of wine throughout the world and wine pairing basics. All attendees will receive a shopping list of wines so they can affordably dig deeper into the world of wine.
Open a bottle of wine that you are excited about or source the following suggested wines through our vendor partners South Lyndale Liquors in Minneapolis or Thomas Liquors in Saint Paul.
Somm Source is owned and operated by Greg B. Carlstrom. Greg is one of two Advanced Sommeliers through the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas in Minnesota, a distinction held by only 760 individuals in North and South America, and also a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone Certification Program. Greg has 14 years of restaurant industry experience including Wine Director roles and 10 years of Restaurant Management spanning Luxury Hotels, Farm to Table concepts, and Private Country Clubs.
