Online Wine Tasting - Christmas Special Parts 1 & 2

December is going to feel rather different from normal in 2020, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a glass or three of wine to get you in the Christmas spirit. So why not join us on December 5th and December 12th for some wines that will help your Christmas be a cracker?

“A Twist On The Familiar” is perhaps the best way of describing the 6 wines we’ve chosen from Majestic for the two sessions. So there’ll be an excellent sparkling wine – but it’s not from Champagne. There’ll be a red made from the main grape of Rioja – but it’s not a Rioja, and so on and so on.

The line-up is as follows:-

December 5th - a white to partner turkey butties, a great party red from Down Under and a decadent sticky wine to serve with - or instead of - Christmas pudding and mince pies

• An Albariño, but not from Spain
• Villa Maria 'Cellar Selection' Albariño 2018, Gisborne (£11.99)
• A Tempranillo, but not from Rioja
• Yalumba Y Series Tempranillo (£7.49)
• A rich fortified wine, but not a port
• Elysium Black Muscat 2017 Half Bottle (£11.99)

December 12th - a fizz to kick off any festive proceedings, a Sauvignon to pair with smoked salmon and other nibbles and a classy red that will enhance any Christmas feast

• A rosé sparkler, but not Champagne
• Graham Beck Brut Rosé NV, South Africa (£14.99)
• A Sauvignon Blanc, but not from France or New Zealand
• Krasno Sauvignon Blanc Ribolla 2019, Brda (£8.49)
• A Bordeaux-inspired red, but not from Bordeaux
• Collemassari Grattamacco Rosso 2019, Bolgheri, Italy(£18.73)

However, we’d recommend you booking for both for three reasons.

• Firstly (and of course most importantly) because we’d love to see as many of you as possible and as often as possible!
• Secondly, because buying at least six bottles means you’ll pay Majestic’s Mix Six price (as shown above) rather than the (considerably more expensive) single bottle price. 
• Thirdly, buying 6+ also means you get free standard delivery (you can pay extra if you want to nominate a delivery day – all details HERE).

One ticket will entitle everyone in your household to attend BOTH tastings on 5th and 12th Dec.
