August 20, 2020 - 2 pm PDT - Oregon's Two New AVAs with Bree Stock, MW

ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT the charity WINEUNIFY

You may have heard the news that Oregon has added two new AVAs to is ranks. We have assembled a panel of experts who will explore with this winemaking panel the key climatic and soil influences that make these AVAs unique and distinctive, what these differences in terroir mean for them in the cellar and the vineyard. Why they believe it is important that these AVAs be created and where they fit in the landscape and conversation of the Willamette Valley and Oregon.

Moderating the panel will be:

  • Bree Stock, Master of Wine and Oregon expert.

Representing the two newest AVAs will be:

  • Luisa Ponzi - Winemaker and Co-owner at Ponzi Vineyards representing the Laurelwood District AVA
  • Chad Stock - Winemaker at David Hill Winery in Tualatin Hills AVA

And representing another recent addition will be:

  • Andy McVay from Dobbes Family Estate who has one of the largest vineyards in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA.
