A special celebration for Georgian Independence Day!

Where did wine originate? The answer may surprise you. The oldest evidence of grape wine, dating back to around 6000 BC, is from the country of Georgia. Of course, this is no surprise to the Georgians whose rich culture of wine and food is deeply ingrained into their everyday celebration of life. Join Georgian wine expert, Erika Frey, for an introduction to the birthplace of wine, and experience some of the history, traditions and rituals of this wine-obsessed land. Learn about the Georgian wines of today many of which are uniquely amber in color and made in buried clay vessels called Qvevri. Join Erika in the Georgian tradition of toasting to peace, family, friendship, sweet memories and more. Gaumarjos! გაუმარჯოს!
