While we are enjoying our springtime and experiencing budbreak in the Northern Hemisphere, the world “down under” is enjoying their Southern Hemisphere harvest and busily preparing their latest vintage of wines! And, although this latest vintage cannot possibly be ready for us to sample next Wednesday, there are still a number of other options available on the shelves of your local wine shop.

 

So, please consider joining us next week on Wednesday, May 12th at 7:00 pm Eastern/New York time for the next installment of Wine Wednesday (or, as Barry suggested last week, “Weird Wednesday”!) when we gather to share the many wine possibilities available from Australia and New Zealand. There is a lot of winemaking history in this area of the world. Australia has also had its share of difficulties in recent years with wildfires and subsequent smoke that have had a significant impact on winegrowers. Lots of things for us to discuss!
