Local Event
At Food Literacy Center, we inspire kids to eat their vegetables. Our upcoming Food Adventure Dinner Series celebrates this philosophy by inviting our community to join us for unique culinary experiences. We are launching our 2025 Dinner Series with a Lunar New Year celebration featuring a Yu Sheng noodle salad.

About the Event
Experience an unforgettable family meal celebrating the Lunar New Year. Start your culinary journey with passed appetizers and a signature mocktail. Enjoy a family-style dinner featuring Yu Sheng, a traditional Singaporean-style salad traditionally enjoyed during Lunar New Year. Each Yu Sheng ingredient symbolizes a wish for the new year. Participants shout wishes and toss the ingredients with chopsticks—the higher your toss, the higher your fortunes grow!
In addition to the Yu Sheng salad, the dinner will feature creative Lunar New Year dishes showcasing the culinary talent of local chefs: Diana Dich of Happy Takeout, Yekaterina Balagian of Omakase Por Favor, Byron and Mandy of XO, and Nhung Nguyen of Day la flour.
