Please join Crystal Cameron Schaad, owner and sommelier of Crystal Palate Wine & Gourmet, for this 1-day in-person WSET Level 1 course. Crystal holds the DipWSET credential and is a graduate of the WSET Educator Training program.

*Important: We require minimum of 6 participants to run this course. If we do not have the required number of particpants registered by October 23, we will need to cancel and/or reschedule the course; existing registrants will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

6 Guided Learning Hours, including 45 minutes for the examination

This class covers the main types of wine, the most common grape varieties, wine service, storing and serving wine, tasting technique, how to describe the smell and taste of wine, and the basics of pairing food and wine. During the class, students taste eight different wines. At the end of the day, students take a 45-minute, multiple choice exam. Those who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.

Exam Information

The exam will be held at the end of class and consists of 3o multiple choice questions which students have 45 minutes to complete.
