WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2021 Fontanassa "Ca' Adua" Gavi ~ $21
(Italy) 100% Cortese. Intense floral nose of jasmine and white flowers with background hints of green apple and almonds. Well-balanced and very dry balanced with nice acidity and fruitiness.
2020 Miner Viognier ~ $18
(Paso Robles) Winemaker's Notes: Aromatically complex with citrus and honeysuckle notes on the nose and a plush feel on the palate, our Viognier consistently displays a fine balance of neutral acidity and intense concentration. This quintessential food wine was whole cluster pressed and stainless steel fermented to allow the vibrant, tropical and stone fruit characteristics of this varietal to shine.
2018 Brega Garnacha ~ $41
(Spain) Calatayud is Spain's highest altitude zone for the cultivation of Garnacha, and produces wines that are incredibly intense yet balanced with bright acidity due to the high altitudes. The slate soils impart a phenomenal minerality to Brega. Primary source records dating back to the 7th Century demonstrate the cultivation of Garnacha in the medieval Kingdom of Aragón, which propagated this grape across the Mediterranean, including the South of France and Italy. One of the most unique Garnachas in Spain due to its balance between concentration and acidity. ~~~ Review by Jeb Dunnuck ~ 92 points: A step up, the 2018 Brega is pure and elegant, with impressive black raspberry, violet, candied cherry and sandalwood-like aromas and flavors. It's another medium-bodied, elegant, balanced Garnacha that has ripe tannins and a character-filled, satisfying style to drink over the coming 4-6 years.
2020 Cass "Backbone" Syrah ~ $36
(Paso Robles) This dark brooding Syrah is a classic representation of this varietal. Dark aromas of black fruit, cedar chips and earth develop into flavors of black cherry and blueberry pie with a hint of sweet tar. The fruit-forward characteristics of this vintage open into darker flavors of cedar, wet earth and pepper.
Luxardo "Sangue Morlacco" Cherry Liqueur ~ $30
(Italy) When Luxardo marasca cherries are harvested at the beginning of every summer, part of the juice is separated and left to mature until natural fermentation occurs. When a certain alcohol by volume is reached, neutral alcohol is added to the juice to avoid further fermentation and it is then allowed to age in oak vats. Clear and deep red in color with the pungent aroma of freshly squeezed cherry juice. The taste is intense, thick and syrupy with sweetness partially offset by fruit tartness. It can be enjoyed in many classic cocktails, or neat or over ice as an after dinner drink. You can also pair it with dark chocolate or any kind of cheese. It is also ideal over mixed berries or ice cream. 60 proof.
